Abstract

Indonesian medicinal plants make up a large part of the world's drug production. As many as 45 of the most important medicinal species in the United States come from tropical medicinal plants, 14 of which are native to Indonesia. So people utilize medicinal plants as a treatment. Some tribes in Indonesia have their own experiences in overcoming health problems. This study aims to determine the types of plants used as traditional medicine, how to process, how to use and the types of plants that have the
potential to be further studied for bioactivity, especially anticancer bioactivity, Informant Consensus Factor (ICF) and Utility Value (UV) as parameters used to determine the significant value of each plant used in a location. The plants used by the Makassar Tribe (Bollangi Hamlet, Pattallassang District, Gowa Regency) as breast cancer drugs are Benalu Tree (Lorantus sp), Bidara Leaf (Ziziphus mauritiana Lam.), Benalu Batu (Begonia medicinalis), Gedi Leaf (Abelmoschus manihot (L.)) with the value of use value
(ICF).) Medik with a use value (UV) of 0.3 and an ICF value of 0.5 respectively, while from the Flores Tribe (Satarpunda Village, North Lambaleda District, Manggarai Regency, NTT) are Ndusuk (Melastoma malabathricum L). Nggeduk (Equisetum hyemale
L), Soursop (Annona muricata), Batang Anggur Hitam (Imperata cylindrica). With Use Value (UV) of 0.3 and Informant Consensus Factor (ICF) value of 0.3, respectively.
