One of the plants or natural ingredients that has antibacterial activity is red algae (Eucheuma cottonii). The content of bioactive compounds in red algae (Eucheuma cottonii) is reported to have antibacterial, antioxidant, and anticoagulant activities. The purpose of this study was to formulate paper soap preparations, physical stability of paper soap preparations with red algae extract (Eucheuma cottonii) and test its activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This research uses laboratory experimental methods. The extract was formulated into paper soap dosage form with ethanol extract concentration of red algae 7.5%, 15% and 22.5%. Stability testing includes organoleptic test, pH test, foam stability test, hedonic test, cycling test. The stable preparations were then tested for antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria using the agar method. Based on the results of the study, the paper soap preparations met the requirements for the stability of the preparations in stability testing which included organoleptic tests, pH tests, foam stability tests, hedonic tests, and cycling tests. This preparation was also proven to have antibacterial activity in a strong category with an average value of inhibition zone of positive control (21 mm), negative control (0), concentration of 7.5% (12 mm), concentration of 15% (13.4 mm), concentration of 22.5% (14.6 mm).
